SCTT takes 4th at YESS Defender Clay 150

The Southlake Carroll Target Team captured a respectful 4th place in the YESS Defender Clay 150 in Ft. Worth Saturday.

This was the first official sporting clay event that offered a Super Sporting Clay course of 50 clays along with a combined Main Event of 100 Sporting Clays.

Ten High School teams battled if out for top honors. Keller High School took first with our SCTT shooters just 25 clays behind.

Sporting Clay Report:

In the main sporting clay competition Nathanael Hagy took 4th place with an 89/100. Colin Gray also took a 4th place in the JV division with an 81/100. In Intermediate, congratulations to Riley Franks for an awesome tie for 3rd Place with a 74/100/ Blake Tyler secured a top ten with a 64/100.

In the ladies division Lizzie Garcia captured an impressive 2nd place with 85/100 followed by Sydney Nickel in 4th with a 77/100.

Super Sporting Clay Report

In the Super Sporting Clay competition, SCTT Senior division showed well with Connor Daily posting a score of 41/50 for a 3rd place finish and Nate Hagy finishing top ten with a 38/50 for tenth. Lizzie Garcia achieved a 3rd place finish in the Senior Ladies division with at 31/ 50 and Sydney Nickel placed 7th with a 25/50.

In the HOA (High Over All) combined scores from sporting and super sporting, Nathanael Hagy took 4th place in the Senior Division just one clay outside the podium. Connor Daily placed 8th to make the top ten. In the Senior Ladies Division Lizzie Garcia earned an impressive 3rd place with Sydney Nickel placing 4th.

Great shooting by all competitors. With only a handful of shooters representing Southlake Carrol, the team is showing very well. We encourage all our returning shooters and especially our new shooters to get out there and compete. There are some great opportunities to place high and gain some great experience in a competitive environment.
