SCTT takes 4th at Greystone Castle

9 Dec 2019 by M.

The Southlake Carroll Target Team put up a good effort to secure 4th place at the Greystone Castle Sporting Clay competition Saturday.

Greystone Castle in Thurber, Texas is one of the more challenging and unique courses competitors shoot at this year. The stations consist of elevation changes, long distances and some seldom used angled shots.

Nine High School teams battled if out for the top spot. Allen High School took first with our SCTT shooters 98 clays behind over two courses.

In the Individual HOA competition Nathanael Hagy took 9th place with an 164/200.

A special honorable mention to Jake Farrand placing a 13 out of 37 with a 60/100 in his first Sporting Clay event. Well done!

Great shooting by all competitors. Football games and SAT’s kept some of our season shooters away from this tournament so SCTT placed well. We encourage all our returning shooters and especially our new shooters to get out there and compete.
