SCTT Takes Second Overall at YESS 150 Challenge

3 Mar 2020 by M.

The Southlake Carroll Target Team placed a very strong 2nd Place overall in the YESS 150 Challenge at Ft. Worth Trap & Skeet

It was a cool, sunny day with strong winds that made for a challenging trap and skeet competition. Regardless of flat targets and dirty birds, Carroll Dragons brought home a 1st in Skeet and a 5th in Trap to secure enough points for 2nd Place Overall.

Congrats to our top performers: Chase Green with a 3rd in skeet, Lizzie Garcia with a 2nd in both skeet and trap, Sydney Nickel with a 3rd in skeet and Alex Buzila with at 1st place in skeet and a 2nd in trap.

We had a nice turnout of shooters this weekend. If you are not competing, please consider getting one or two under your belt going into next season.

We have another YESS shoot out at Ft. Worth Trap and Skeet at the end of the month. If you have not participated in a competition or only a handful to date, Regional, State and National competitions are just around the corner and we need a big showing at each event from all levels.

As a reminder we encourage everyone to get their required 6 practices and get signed up for the remaining competitions and compete! High school shooters, there are still plenty of great opportunities to qualify for your letter jacket so get out and practice and compete!
