The Southlake Carroll Target Team competed at the TX SCTP State Championship from 6/6-6/9/24 in San Antonio at the National Shooting Complex. As every June’s tournament in San Antonio, it was hot and humid but the SCTT team was even HOTTER! Mission accomplished as the Southlake Carroll Target Team is the 2024 Texas SCTP State Champions! This was especially INCREDIBLE as the team nailed more targets than any previous SCTT team has shot. Out of 1,500 clays that make up the total Team Score in Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays, the team shot 1,424! That’s 94.9% accuracy!! Last year was a record breaker with 1,403 clays and this year improved by another 21!
We ROCKED it!! Below is a very lengthy note as the details are FANTASTIC! Next up Nationals! GOOOOO DRAGONS!!

TEAM RESULTS (Trophies will be placed in the Trophy Case at CHS):

And SCTT made history! We have 4 Athletes representing TX and will sport the All State jerseys in Ohio at SCTP Nationals the week of 7/15/24!
Only the Top 5 athletes from the state, who competed at TX SCTP State in San Antonio, for each discipline (no matter their level) qualify for this spot.
This means their fees are also paid for by TX SCTP! CONGRATULATIONS!

Charlee: Charlee also shot a 97 in Skeet, they used reverse order run and her reverse run number was 7. They can only have 5 athletes that represent each state in skeet and Charlee was 6th in Texas. OUTSTANDING JOB CHARLEE!!

Wyatt: With Sporting Clay ties, they pre-determine a secret (hard) station or 2 and use that station’s score to determine All State athletes if there are ties in score. They can only have 5 athletes that represent each state in sporting clays and Wyatt was 6th place. The station they used was Station 11 for tie breaker. OUTSTANDING JOB WYATT!!
